BACKGROUND
My education and training span all the way from specialized liberal arts degrees to an intensive software engineering "boot camp." This diverse background has enabled me to explore a wide range of industries; over the years, in addition to my writing and theater activities, I've worked as a paralegal, a private tutor, a grant writer, and a software engineer! At every step of my educational and career journeys, I've continued to acquire and refine a body of knowledge and a set of skills that inform and unify my seemingly disparate professional interests.
EDITING & UX WRITING
Five years into a career as a software engineer, I found myself constantly missing my writing- and research-focused liberal arts background. I was thrilled to discover that creating and editing technology-adjacent content was a viable career path. Much like my theater work, meticulously crafting website content, in-app text, emails, and social media posts fulfills my need to communicate with audiences via storytelling and relationship-building. And, like software engineering, it satisfies my lifelong fascination with technology and passion for helping its users.

I earned my professional certification in UX writing, from the UX Content Collective. I found the curriculum endlessly compelling and fulfilling — and I'm proud to have scored over 135% on the notoriously challenging final project!

Since then, I have gained professional experience creating and editing content across a range of platforms and subject matters. As an editor, I specialize in brand voice development and implementation. I have also expanded my skillset to include copywriting, email and SMS marketing, and content design.
THEATER
My extensive theatrical experience includes work with Two Good Dogs Productions, the Secret Theatre, Hip to Hip Theatre Company, the Riant Theatre, Chelsea Repertory Company, Identity Theater Company/Nicu’s Spoon Theater Company, Royal Family Productions, and Hartford Stage, among others. I specialize in Shakespeare, but I also enjoy helping emerging playwrights bring their visions to fruition.
I am currently open to new directorial opportunities. In addition, I provide private audition coaching for performers looking to select and master Shakespearean monologues.
FICTION
My book, The Collected Adventures of Mr. Edgar Beagle, Private Investigator — a series of genre-bending mystery novellas set in a parallel version of Victorian London — is available on Amazon. It chronicles the achievements and frustrations of the fastidious, logic-driven Mr. Beagle as he struggles to pursue justice alongside a distractible, idealistic border collie and a vociferous terrier.
Watch this space for news about the sequel, which is scheduled for publication in 2025.
